The wife is currently in the states with instructions to pick me up the new kindle hdx 8.9 , (for my xmas pressie ) as it's £100 cheaper over there , this will be my first kindle purchase on it.

As an side,

I'm wanting this kindle HDX as my xmas pressie, as you can connect to your local library and download direct to kindle . How cool is that?

But since piling on the apps on the wifes 7 inch hd fire before she flew to US, I'm stunned at how you can use a kindle.

Movies, library books, control your home pc from anywhere on the planet ! Yep....

8 mega pixel camera, 1080 HD video recording, web surfing...... ,games, music , VOIP phone, and there was me thinking kindle is just for books.
