European broker

I have a little problem I hoped somebody in here could help me with: I want to daytrade i the US, but i don't have the $25.000 that is required to daytrade (pattern day trader-rule) !! Is there a european broker that I can use? Don't I avoid this rule then (i'm a norwegian)? Which brokers do you guys use?

Are you sure I wouldn't avoid the rule by using a UK broker? It seems like many here at T2W is doing this...

Try it and see but I think you will find that, (other than the link on my above post), it is not permitted. Unless you are talking of using a Spreadbetting Company which is a different proposition all together.

When you say day-trade the US, what is it that you wish to trade as it is only US stock trading that requires $25,000 and not other instruments such as futures and I had presumed you meant US stocks ?

Yes, it was US stocks i meant. I want to trade some of these because they are so volatile. Are there any good tradingstocks in the UK?
