Hello, please gentle with a newbie here!

I'm just wondering where someone would stand if they were currently employed, but wanted to start his own company, but with your current employer .... Continue to be employed

Answers on a postcard please!

What's this got to do with trading?

LOL, whats wrong with the question.after all this is a trading site,it doesnt say what type of trading:smart:

They'd continue to be employed as normal but would also be employed by the company as a director on incorporation. Go get an accountant I cba walking you through it all.

if you are a director of your present employer, and want to become a director of another firm, check your contract. Loophole could be to appoint a "director service" (if you buy an existing company, this can be thrown in) but yourself subscribe to 100% of the shares and alter the articles.

just off the top of my head.

New rules state all companies have to have at least 1 human director now. Random fact for the day :)

They got rid of the need for sec about a year or so ago and this new rule has only recently taken effect. Veil of incorporation is being eroded more and more every day mate. Too many company wind ups with tax rather than trade creditors methinks. Loads of VAT fraud as well. You wouldn't believe the amount of checks they do on every tom dick and harry for VAT registration these days.
Nothing ever stays the same mate :)

As opposed to a horse director or a lizard director??????

Seriously man, how can you have a non-human director with fiduciary responsibility????
