EA remains active when mt4 is closed?

I want to know whether expert advisors remain active (will keep doing what they're supposed to do) even when mt4 is closed, internet got disconnected and even when my laptop is shut down (my mt4 is in my laptop)? thanks

Since the EA works on your computer, if your computer is disconnected, the EA will stop doing what it is supposed to do. The alternative is to charge the EA into your brokers machine, and then it will remain working even if your computer is disconnected.
