Does anyone use HSBC for frequent stock trading?

Hi,

Still looking for a good stock broker that has good execution.

Does anyone use HSBC invest-direct for day trading/frequent trading of UK stocks (both low caps and medium cap stocks) and can recommend them?

I have looked at the platform before and it is very simple but that is the way I like it, just curious on how their execution is and price quotes. On a plus I know they offer frequent trader rates of £7.95 above 9 trades a month.

Previously tried iii and I really do not like their platform, any help on this would be greatly greatly appreciated

£7.95 is extremely steep for commission especially for day trading. Additionally, they have a $50,000 USD equivalent balance requirement. If you have that much to spend, I would go to a boutique brokerage house.

Interactive Brokers UK charges a maximum of %0,08 or £1,00 per trade when moving less 800.000 shares a month.
