Dividend returns

I'm looking to invest around 80K US in something long term but am disappointed by the percentage returns offered by the banks. Can anybody direct me to a fund or scheme that I can invest in with returns above 6 per cent.

If you're after 6% or better you're going to have to be willing to take on some risk. The low risk stuff is all well below that. Corporate bonds might be worth a look in that regard.

Forget corps, at 6% you can afford some sovereigns. Would you like to buy some 15y Greek paper? Or how about 10y Ireland?
