Mac platform
Did you ever come up with an answer to your question? I'm in the same position. The only broker I have come across so far that has a Mac compatible platform is IB. That said I never could get it to work (must have been doing something wrong) and i have since switched brokers.

Nevertheless, if speed is of the essence I would recommend you still run in windows, no matter how awful that operating system is. These systems are so much better developed.
Some of the really high end stuff is X11 based and thus would presumably run on a mac without having to leave OS X...

in that case try this Run Windows on Mac and Mac Virtualization ? Parallels Desktop for Mac works perfectly running any windows specific app I've ever used, and they were all notoriously CPU intensive

Thanks Miyagi. Yes, I'm currently using Parallels on my main computer (MacPro) and VMWare Fusion 2 on my MacBook Pro. Both work fine though VMWare is probably the better of the two. Parallels works OK in a 1 or 2 monitor config but more than that and it is worthless. At the moment I use Investor/RT for charts running in Mac over 3 monitors and use the 4th monitor to display the trade platform running in Windows. Would be nice if more brokers joined the Mac revolution and offered fully mac compliant platforms.

Download VirtualBox from Sun MicroSystems. It allows me to run a win XP virtualization as a regular window. I've been running schwab's professional trading platform through this, and It shares the screen with my 20+ Safari windows with no problem. I can do this because the of version of XP I use only requires 100mbs of ram (you can get this version as a torrent, but make sure you own an original copy of the XP so that it's legit).
Essentially, I have a computer inside of a computer... running WinXP with 283mbs of ram on the virtualization, and I still have 1000mb of ram to do whatever else i want to do.
