Hi,
Has anyone used this or researched it at all? Made by a Russian trader and currently testing it in demo. I am total price action but I take indicators like a pinch of salt but may help market structure.
The basis used moving averages with the shift and the growing period (the longer moving average from the center of the structure, the greater its period).
Figure 1. Moving average with a cumulative period (the period increases as one moves from the center).
Using a moving average with a growing period allows for more accurately determine the centers of large structures, in addition, it eliminates the period of the indicator, and there is no need to add a few indicators with different periods.
Period of the indicator is only one, and it is calculated as follows:
Period = Distance from center (bars) / Ratio eq, this factor is introduced into the indicator parameters, and defaults to 2.1. For example, if the distance from the center of 100 bars, the period of the moving average will be 48. There are artificial limitations period moving average - minimum period = 2 - Max = 144
Specificity of the indicator
This indicator is made as a helper when making trading decisions, so it shows only those structures that affect the current price, the indicator is intended to show the structure of the past that are irrelevant at the moment. In that case, if there is a structure that has an impact on the current price (1), an indicator depicts a histogram of the future price movement, in accordance with the structure. The indicator draws on the future of distance xdist (default 55 bars).
Fig. 2 - Match the structure and the histogram of future prices.
In that case, if the same number of structures, the indicator summarizes their impact, and draws overall (cumulative) histogram. The indicator is calculated not to exceed 5 structures, both affecting the current price. In this connection, the number of bars that takes to calculate the indicator is limited by the coefficient Bars 1 (default 610 bars).
Fig. 3 - At the current price is influenced by 3 centers of the structures, the histogram shows their total effect.
Trade with the indicator
If you are trading in their structure, and thus can not find the center of the current structures, you can add this indicator and it will show the points that you are looking for. The histogram display shows the future up to the bar, so when using the indicator, you can see a detailed picture of the future price movements and can be prepared for "unexpected" market movements.
Total
Indicator CTG Structure - x - is the most perfect at the moment, the LED structure. It is based on moving average with a growing period, it allows more accurately find the center of the structure. The indicator shows only those structures that do not affect the current price, so he will not "clutter up" the price schedule extra linyami. Histogram Indicator, displays the size of future bars, it allows us to see not only the trend of the market in the future, but the range of possible walking prices (price band)
