( There was rule 4 as the winner was withdrawn - 20p in the pound deduction on
all winning bets - returns from the winner = £12.00 ( not including the stake of £1.00
( minus £2.40 ) returns £9.60, plus your stake - total returned = £10.60
less £2.00 or 2 pts from the losing bets = £8.60

Profit/Loss for day - Profit of £8.60 or 8.6 pts

You have calculated your profit incorrectly.

.

Reference to yesterdays profit ( 17-08-2005 )

Reference to yesterdays profit.

As we all know that i had the winner - REALISM - winning at 12-1

There was rule 4 to all bets, a deduction of .20p in the pound to
all winning bets.

Taking the deduction into account my calculation was correct
as the returns was = £10.60 or 10.6 pts

As for the other selections that lost, i made a deduction of
£2.00 or 2 pts.

A deduction of £3.00 or 3 pts should have been deducted rather
then £2.00 or 2 pts.

The New Bank Balance on the 17-08-2005 stands at = £467.65 or 467.65 pts

That's it Ken, now you are correct.

With a more appropriate staking plan your profit would have been greater. You had two points on the loser and only half that on your winner.

Selections for today the 19-08-2005 ( Friday )

Good Morning All,

Here are todays bets on the 19-08-2005 ( Friday )

I must say that the price on one selection
( the fav ) is short.
In saying that, a profit can or should be achieved
should one win.

2-20 CHESTER - Twin win

No. 2. PUGILIST - 1.25 pts win - rating = 6/10
No. 4. INTERIM PAYMENT - 2 pts win - rating = 61/2/10 - 3rd

As im sending this post, the best prices on the 2 are -

- No. 2 is 5-1 with quite a few firms

No. 4. is 3-1, followed by 11-4 and some 5-2

Good luck all

Cheers

I think we have all misunderstood MonkeyBoy. View his public profile. A picture of a dog wearing glasses.

He truely is the master of sarcasm and wit

It is actually a picture of a gibbon wearing spectacles dear Jock Boy.

You are truly mistaken. Maybe you should wear spectacles yourself if your budget runs to that sort of luxury.

But you are correct in that I am a master of wit and also sarcasm wherever necessary.

Have a great day Jocko.

Phew Kenny.

Glad to see you bag a couple of losers again today.

I was seriously beginning to think that you had lost that losing edge that you had painstakingly worked on over the past few decades.

Ken - a serious question if I may be so bold.

If you had layed ( lain ? ) all your tips since the start of this thread instead of backing them to win, would your bank balance now be in profit ?

Answers on a postcard please ( with 2nd Class stamp ) to Salty Gibbon, 10 Downing Street, London.

Thank you Ken and good evening.

A winning method is something that goes like this:

Let's say a man begins with $3, it goes down to $2
it goes up to $5, it goes down to $2.50
it goes up to $6, it goes down to $3
it goes up to $7, it goes down to $5
it goes up to $8, it goes down to $7
it goes up to $8, it goes up to $10
etc.

It goes down but it goes up, it goes down but it goes up. When it goes up, it goes higher and higher.

If something doesn't seem to be working well, it doesn't mean it doesn't work at all, it could be it simply needs some fine-tuning to get it working properly.

Or it could be a complete dog. ;)

morning ken, hope you are feeling the sunshine today. had a nice profit from realism during the week so thanks for that. ive got another small fancy for this afternoon if you would be so kind as to give your opinion on it. its MOONLIGHT MAN in the 3.10 at chester. richard hannon trains it and up until the last run, seemed to be improving in leaps and bounds,is well drawn and will certainly like todays trip. seems to be around a 10-1 chance in the papers. its been a decent week at york all round and looking forward to todays selections. have a good weekend.
