Can you tell me what the 80/20 settings on the indi mean? the 80 on the daily lags a bit so wondering if there any any other settings you recommend?

I just realised this version below lets you type in the syntax

Right click on the blank indicator under your chart where you loaded it
go to edit Indicator
and add an m to the bottom area here then press ok a few times

the chart will appear !

Again our dispute continues with my FXcorrelator.com Website service provider
so we may not be up on there for a while if they cut the feed …such is life ….we are not Paying unverified bills and wont be blackmailed

Meanwhile the Dow falters and usd and Yen push north ….

well excluding any other big external News if Dow stays skittish the stops will be breached and it will tumble…

Traders wont give those weekly gains back today so watch for some nice buys on yen and USD :smart:

I use the 80 sma and the 20 sma to give me a feel for the direction of the Dow

if Price is above both i'm happy theres a bull bias ..............if below both i'm happy we have a bear bias

This Bias infuences the Yen usd trades I make

in the system below in the signature area I disgard the 80 sma completely and just go on 20 sma signals

optimum ?

I use the 20 sma (and 80sma) as examples here .........I have more bespoke systems I use but I dont think I can declare an "optimum system" in truth

you go faster than 20ma and you get whipped more ...............step out above 20ma and the signals will get you in too late......

the 20 sma is a pretty versatile setting though and works well in most markets and Timeframes

see the daily below ..........20ma FXcorrelator with a dow above and 20sma and 80sma on Dow chart ....are the signals consistent enough ? 👍

a more conservative play was waiting for the confirmed dow resumption of trending up....so we KNOW the usd and Yen are gonna get a kicker

and also the higher TF's are not really giving any clue/direction at present .....

but hey thats trading !
