DB is normally so good. but this time, I thought the explanation program on Friday left me nonethewiser.
wasted an hour hoping he would explain all.
that bit about 24 people choosing numbers, and he averaging them out was illogical, as surely the averaged number would have been ((1 + 49) / 2= 25), plus or minus a bit.
(anyway, if that logic were true, the lottery would be won and shared by a much larger number of people, as people would all hope for their numbers, but the collective unconscious would result in the most common numbers being chosen. no?)
not sure if the bit about the "knife was never under the cup" bit, and how we respond to perceptions of threat made any sense in context to lotto.
anyway, why didnt he simply go buy the winning ticket, and donate the monies??
that would have been mega-magic.
he is usually so engaging.
