hi Benny,

Are you trying help desk on the platform or phone. i will check it if you let me know.

Prices are fixed for amounts so we can fill every order and they are based on market depth.
actually soon we will release new software that will allow you to trade your amount on one ticket. not in this next release but by end of calendar year.

yes thought you were lucky. QPR have some good players now, including Barton but QPR didnt take their chances. thats their problem

pc

Thanks Peter.

I was trying on the platform. No worries though.

Strolla Ameobi was pretty hopeless again :( . We will miss Barton - on the field!

Oh - forgot to ask! If one was betting on Schroders, for example, could one take out two orders, each for the max stake? I am assuming there is nothing to stop that?

hi gle101,

I agree but really the point is, is that tw2 should never allow this type of bad language and behaviour to be hosted here. It not only looks bad but advertisers will start to move away because if t2w becomes magnet for a certain type of person then I for one will be off.

Peter, you should have seen how it was a few years back on this forum. Simon from CS took a lot of abuse for ages without trade2win doing anything. I was amazed that he endorsed it for so long time. Anyway trade2win is much better these days, and must be applauded for the way they have turned this forum around.

hi gle

Yes I remember reading this before.
however, you have to remember that if a forum hosts bad behaviour they are party to any litigation and legal proceedings in the future. they are in effect hosting illegal activity. You see the type of thing on say ebay if they allow stolen goods to be sold there. they are liable.

anyway I think the real issue is reputation. they will very soon loose credibility as a forum if they allow bad behaviour.

The problem is that they can't monitor every single post, would just not be practical. So they are dependent on members reporting bad posts. There is for protection an inbuilt bad languages word list, but some of these guys have learned to get around that, by using look a like letters. I think others member should react more strongly against this kind of language, not good for the discussion climate on this forum. Glad to say they are in minority though.

Peter, what credibility? This is a serious question. As someone who's been a user for two years and a bit years I've seen nothing but decline in standards. For someone like yourself it's a gold mine as T2W is now more in line with your business interests as it's populated by a load of mugs - sorry guys, but this is evidence based afaics.
As regular users we've seen a seismic shift away from people actually discussing trading methods, trading ideas, market moving news, institutional analysis, bloomberg stuff, modelling, old pit stories, bond pricing vs trading levels, option trading (although we did have a recent foray into this lol) how the pit differs from new electronic markets, prop trading and all sorts of things along those lines to double your money with spreadbetting leverage threads and ponzi schemes and child porn fiascos involving T2W staff. And in the old days case people were a lot more friendly with each other. there was banter but people discussed and talked rather than argued.
The way the site now operates and the clientèle they are pandering to are direct cause of this decline in standards.

Actually, no offence to yourself, peter, but I think that this has happened with a lot more zeal/furvore since the spread betting firms sites have become more involved.

Ebay are liable? Someone should tell ebay about that, because they're unwittingly probably the world's biggest fence.

As far as reputation goes, I think T2W is where it wants to be. Look at the membership. You've got a few long-term stalwarts and a huge, never-ending churn of newbies. Which presumably is exactly what vendors and advertisers want.

This is not a go at you (I think your thread is very good) but honestly, what market is CMC aiming at? Professional traders? Or punters, newbies etc?

T2W is heavily focussed on new traders and running as a business, hence the proliferation of vendors with their ludicrous pipe-dreams, the profusion of adverts from spread bet companies etc.

I don't think so Mr. Peter the forums holds no responsibility for the stuff written here , second i don't think "weeping about slippage or rejected tickets" is an illegal activity . Discussion boards all over the net contains stuff like that against brokers . Here is a quote from T2W T&Cs :

"4.3 T2W does not warrant, represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any of the information, content, advertisements or any third party site and content contained on, distributed through or linked, downloaded or accessed from the Site, nor the quality of any products, services, information or other materials displayed, purchased or obtained by you as a result of an advertisement or any other information or offer on or in connection with the Site or T2W."

We're not colluding, whatever appearances might suggest .

Scose is spot on. When I first showed up, I learned a lot here (although the rot was already set in, it was around the time of the Mr Spreadbetting fiasco). But now? It would be tough for a beginner to use this site productively.

I'm not on an anti-spread bet crusade - the companies have their place, they've been very useful for me, and the industry has cleaned up it's act a lot. But it is more the newbie end of the market, that's what T2W is for (these days) and that's why you're all here and will all stay here.

But what will they do without their advertisers? No there has to be a well manured (not boring though) discussion. Look at the forum at Forexfactory, do you see this kind of posts I was referring to? No, because the members, moderator and owner would never allow it. I guess the US is more strict in the implementation of such behavior rules, due to the risk of being sued.

No they just (allegedly) allow Jacko to run a ponzi scheme and take their bunch of mug members for six figures.
