I've become interested in swing and position trading, more specifically the taylor technique and its revisement as the "LSS Method". From all I've read however, it seems that this trading method is most suitable for trading of futures contracts which I have little experience with. Would it be appropriate to use apply this method to equities or perhaps even ETF's. If adequate volatility and a price driven heavily by market sentiment are the key traits that Taylor's technique relies upon, and the futures market provided, shouldnt I be able to find an equity or ETF such as one closely mirroring the S&P500 to use this technique on?

Hi Alexandersupertrade,

Welcome to t2w! I've applied TaylorTT & LSS to Dow30 and it worked to some extent. I have traded during cash hours so in theory it should work on ETF, too. I did't find it useful for stocks, however, it was in 2006. Markets do evolve. Have you tested the method with demo acct?
