Hi,
This may be a silly question , but on a charting application which is showing an OHLC chart for YM, what price does the chart use?

What I mean is for YM you have a Bid and Ask , but on a chart only a single data point is shown, what is the convention,
to show the average of the Bid/Ask or just select either Bid or Ask and be consistent ?
If you select the average, does that mean the high, low and close are also the average of the Bid/Ask?

Is Last Price the same as Last Trade ?
And I presume there is no Bid/Ask for Last Price ?

No. Last price is just the last bid/ask - there may be no trades at those prices.

Last trade is when someone has gone for the bid/ask and traded.

However, there is only ever one price when a deal is transacted - it's the price the buyer pays and the seller receives.

Forget Bid/Ask on a chart price - it's meaningless.

Hi,
Thanks for all the replies.
