Charting Futures Help

New to futures and have a general understanding. I understand that futures are contracts and each expiration will have a different chart yet the ability to compile everything in one chart is also done. For the purpose of technical analysis, what charts are used to analyze prices to identify trends etc? What would the ticker symbol of one of those charts look like

Hey there,

It really depends on which market y9ou are looking at. For example Crude Oil Symbol is CL and the contract expires every month. Currently we just rolled over to the 05-15 contract. (Crude Oil changes contract every month) Indies such as the ES, YM, NQ ( sandp 500, Dow, Nasdaq) rollover every 3 months.
