CFD volume and bid/ask difference

Junior member
Hi - I'm little new to CFDs/Forex. I have been trading mostly stocks and futures.

I got a MT4 demo from 4xp, and I had couple of questions

1. The daily volume of contracts/CFDs traded for a particular CFD, say APPLE or GOOGLE, is shown very less, like 200 or 1000 max. Is that so low ? Or am I missing something here? Where do I get volume of contracts/cfds traded to find the most liquid ones?

2. The difference between ask and bis what you guys call spread? The diff between bid and ask is too much. Do CFDs work this way all the time?

Appreciate a little assistance here..

Can't help you with the volume question as I don't use MT4.

Spread - depends upon the CFD provider - some charge a % commission and leave the spread as per market, others charge no commission but widen the spread to collect their fees - guess 4xp must be doing the latter.
