I thought I highlight a nasty tactics used by people working inside a brokerage firm. They seem to go these forums and then post negative comments or positive comments to trap people into reserving their funds by either going short or going long but most cases going short because they have more money than the people going Long so they clean them out and trigger a stop loss.

They don’t need to indulge in such dodgy tactics - people are quite capable of losing enough money themselves to keep the brokers’ profits healthy.

Of course, its never wise to follow a trade tip, wherever you hear it.

A similar thing I have seen is a poster from a brokerage on another forum who continually advises private retail traders to give up trading altogether.

i even saw an advert claiming you can make money trading .......

jees whatever next ?

I'm intrigued, can you give us some examples of these posts or some links to them?

This is the internet, and while the internet is great and all, there are people that seem to get a kick out of trolling, bullying, harassing and simply find it amusing to see others suffer. Since the rules in the sharemarket is to be as ruthless as possible without killing someone and turning it into a Casino, how else would you make money then? These people are driven by profits and greed. Two destructive forces that control the human race and that has no boundaries.
This is how the Americans stole the land from the Native American Indian Tribe and that is still running amok.
The sharemarket there are no ethical boundaries. Casinos use the same tactics yet they are allowed to operate. They also seem to want to control the share price and use political nonsense to make money themselves not just through the spreads when we all know that that has nothing to do with it.

I have seen one broker use other questionable acts to manipulate the share price. They bypass the regulatory screening process and steal your money. I can't say who this broker is because they most definitely come on here.

I would link it but I have no way of verifying if any of you are a broker or not.

Banks are just as unethical as Casinos, Brokers and men in suits. Infact, they are all part of one big club and us losers down the food chain aren't part of this big club.

I actually did make money and lots of it but they took it all. We are talking 300k here in 3 months. Before anyone asks, I don't have a tin foil hat on or am a conspiracy nut.

Yes, but like you say, this is the internet. No one has anyway of verifying anything. Unless of course you back up your statements with facts! It doesn't it matter whether you think we are brokers or not, there's nothing stopping you posting links...if you want to be taken seriously that is...

Nobody says they don't do it. We're saying its your fault for listening to them without thinking for yourself.

Are you trying to tell us you lost 300k following an anonymous tip online but the tipster is to blame?

If you lost £300,000 then your money management needs looking at, and why were you following someone's tips with such a large amount?
