Brokers and Markets

After months of reading books and getting advice on how the market works in relation to stock movement etc, I beleive I am ready to start some paper trading, and from there, take the market I am paper trading to the real thing. I do not have a lot of capital to risk. So this is my question. Does anyone have any advice on what a good liquid market to paper trade would be, but on the same token, what is the easiest market to get into with not much capital with a broker. I hope that is as clear as mud <grin>

although i've now virtually stopped using spreadbetters, it's an easy intro if u have limited capital. but u'll need to move on quickly!
