I am new options trader and have been using a paper account with interactive broker and td ameritrade. While I am able to place trades using advance strategies such as iron condor , butterfly, etc, one thing I feel super complicated is tracking trades in interactive brokers.
In TD ameritrade, there is cash and sweep tool which seamlessly helps you understand what is going on. But I feel it is a different story with IB.
The reason being, I am mostly selling options and when we receive a credit, IB shows that as a negative amount which I get. But I am completely lost when analyzing my trades - as in how much money I earned etc.
Any advice? I plan on using IB as my broker.
