You could look at Pring's book. Bit of an oldie but I seem to remember him covering trendlines in some detail.
You'll get very little from any book or any indicator or any price action or any fundamentals or anything if you keep jumping around from topic to topic as it seems you're doing.

One of the best explanations of trend lines and how to use them, that I have seen, is in Victor Sperandeo's book "Trader Vic". The relevent pages are 69-85 in Chapetr 7. You can view it online at scribd.com . The book's well worth buying anyway.
