I've only got about 5-6 hundred quid

Theyre quoting ridiculous margins on their website for live accounts. Imagine a trade goes the wrong way for a while...

stay clear from IG. they let losses run to x4 your account size. be warned they don't close you if you go negative like other brokers would. standard account has "credit" which is dangerous for newbies

I've just opened an IG... Limited risk though.

You have to place stops and they dont let losses run greater than account size or so they say

I'm only trading small anyway. A few traded. maybe £100 margins. And I'll be watching the whole time

Just enter a stop EVERY time you trade and you will be fine.
