whats the best spread out there offered re spreadbetting Gold/$

and does any broker offer spreadbetting Gold in other currencies ?

Not sure what the spreads are but take a look at ProSpreads, they are definitely the quickest execution for a spread better.

For IG and CMC, normally 5 pips spread when the market's active.
Most Spreadbetting firms I know of only allow trading gold/$, but there is a way around it,so you can effectivelly trade gold against most major currencies like euro,cable,aussie......

Oanda is not a SB firm but i should to mention that they have 30 cents spread on Gold ( 1230/1230.3 ) most of the time during EU and US session beside news time ...

NVP i agree with prospreads they show you the true market which is around a 1 point spread (1214.2/1214.3) they then apply a fixed spread of .1 so if you were to buy and sell at market the cost would would be 3 points
