There are two great SB companies (IG and CMC) which offer 24 hour dealing, tight spreads, wide choice of markets and good execution. I can't see why anyone would mess around with little fish like Finspreads, Capital Spreads, City Index etc.

What do you mean by 'great' exactly?

So why is it that if spread betters are a) suggestibly behaving in a way which be perceived as lacking in ethics or b) downright dishonestly has nobody from any of the papers picked up on this. Is it that these firms aren't as indecent as you may think (though it's tempting for the thought to cross your mind when your on the receiving end of losses) or is it that they retain very expensive lawyers to fight off precisely this sort of thing.

Either way, people with a bit of money losing some of it doesn't make for a very gripping headline.

it might raise a few eyebrows if what has been stated at the start of this thread backed with proof, that this "normal" undisclosed (for obvious reasons) practice within the same firm.

Well obviously its not good customer service is it? as for stating being the best customer service in the biz???

Let the posters who have any proof of wrong doing put up or shut up. If I am satisfied that dirty tricks are used, I'll be one of the first to leave them, but I am unlikely to go to any other spreadbetting company, I've been with two others, Fins is the one I've been with longest.

Is it easy to withdraw funds from Finspreads?

I haven't tried but it should be easy I suppose. Like Split, I'm still in a honeymoon mood with them and I am not complaining. If I have to vote now for the best one, they'll get my vote.

Which other spreadbetters do you use?

Worldspreads and CMC in that order. WS's platform is great at work while some of CMC's quotes are the best. But unlike Fins, both of them don't take market orders on many products that I trade.

I don't see a problem with them monitoring people who are winning to see how they do it. The more successful they are at hedging positions, the more likely they are to stay financially competitive, successful, keep their employees happy and not go bankrupt. Any kind of automated price fixing however would of course be disgraceful, but rav is being rather cryptic. Is anyone alleging this?

I like finspreads lots, but then I'm small fish and I don't daytrade.

I am also a small fish but I daytrade from time to time with no problem what so ever. I document every single trade and if something seems fishy, I would not hesitate to contact them and ask them to make things right.

If they don't, I'll withdraw all the fund and let them pay to maintain the account for as long as they remain solvent 🙂
