I have been consistently buying at 175 - 180 region and have enjoyed tremendous success as of late?

I have done it several times and wondering maybe that I should look for a new trade?

anybody else playing the same trade?

what do other people think?

I'm going to go long on Barclays and maybe BT for a few days....

edit* So far so good..

OK people i'm thinking of buying 10,000 shares in Barclays & hold for 5 years as:

Div per share(DPS)(p) 21.90
Div Yield(%) 6.7

nice yield & hopefully good capital accumulation in the future.........

am thinking of buying 4 week increments of £2500 in order to catch anymore down turn but I think its heavily oversold at present??!!

the shares are almost reaching a 20 year support level at around £1.00 ?

all views and comments respected..........

Are they still allowed to pay divs or is that blocked until borrowings paid back.

the div you're mentioning was for holders on 20/8 i think, IF there is one next time i'd guess you'd be moving the decimal point along there, maybe nearer 2.1p

One of the reasons why I want to buy is that from my understanding barclays declined government funding and accepted money from the Abu Dhabi family instead.

according to moneyam there is a Dividend but according to ADVFN there isn't?

OK so you have a good point, will have to ring broker to clarify!!

but other than that what do you think, will it survive the turmmoil?

Barclays

As I see Barclays it is in positive divergence but there is still has some hurdles to jump.
