Hi everyone this is my first vist, and as a novice trader I don't think that I can contribute anything worthwhile at this stage. I've got half a dozen trades in my portfolio which are currently showing a 12% profit.
One of the things that I've been attempting to do is to use the altman z as a guide to the safety of an investment. Whilst there online calculators to do the rating I'm a little baffled about the differing terminology they use. For example one asks for input on 'working capital', whilst another one asks for market value of equity.
I believe the first means total assets minus total liabilites, but I'd like to be sure. As far as the latter does it mean the share capital.
thanks for any help and understanding of this dodo.
