I am currently developing a few basic S.B. strategies using MATLAB and want to try automating them. (i.e. to get MATLAB and a S.B API to communicate)
I am thinking of hiring a programmer to write some code capable of interacting with a spread betting API and MATLAB. Therefore, depending on my MATLAB strategy, the program will trade/hold my position.
Unfortunately I am not sure what kind of programmer I should be looking for?. I think it would be quite easy to extract API data for input using something like PYTHON but as for the rest I am unsure?
I assume people have tried similar approached before…any tips on what type of programmer to hire or how to approach this?
