Dunno, but very very few brits would care that someone was atheist. In america they'd rather have a paedophile than an atheist as a president, seriously!

Well - like their politics, they want everybody doing what they are doing. Hence 'spreading democracy' etc.... :whistling

I have met a few missionaries in Thailand. They have had some success turning the Buddhists into Christians, which is a real shame if you consider that Buddhists generally have a more serene outlook on life.

I've seen western guys & gals here standing in the middle of the red light district reading from the bible, much to the amusement of the locals.

I am not sure why they aren't content just to follow the book themselves.
