Australian Portfolio Wines you mean? There is a long running thread here about them, if I recall correctly it was a rip off, people couldnt sell and were getting billed for storage.

apw london have restructured and are now asset management. how i ask will this affect our investment. i assume no one has been contacted. has all of your wines been in storage sold. have you actually seen your wines. are you making a profit from your investment. yhe wine market has bottomed out and predicted to make a growth of up to 14% this year.

Mmmm, when you say 'restructured' that probably means set up a new firm to target victims again. For anyone thinking about investing in wine, take as long as need be to read EVERY post on this excellent site, then realise there's probably a 99% chance you're being setup.

is everybody happy with the profits you are making from your australian wine? bought in the uk.Are you being kept informed on a regular basis how your wine is increasing in value. More important have you sold good qtys of your investment, if the wine is not sold in bond it becomes expensive trying to sell it yourself.

yippee all my wines have been sold. the rope has been released from my neck. I don't really know why I am yippeeing I have only lost £24.000 on an investment that should have made at least 20% profit warning keep away from the dodgy wine brokers investigate them thoroughly before parting with your money. it does prove that if you are desperate to rid of your wines there are customers out there but you will not get market price. god luck especially if you are dealing with APW LONDON

I have been with apw since the australian portfolio days. although i wasnt paid as quickly as i would have liked i can confirm that i did receive my money in the end.

all of my wines exist and are stored within the london city bong in hillington.

i hope this assures you all.

My wine is also held at Hillington, Glasgow. If you try to trade this wine via sites like CaveX they will not accept listings from this wearhouse as the delivery can not be guaranteed to arrive in London, where most collections are made, within the 28 day window.

I dont think that is the case. I recommend moving wines internally. If you request that the LCB move wines into tilbry or burton on trent you will have no issues. Perhaps setting up a private reserve will speed up the process.

I spoke to CaveX in Friday and that is what they said. They also recomended moving to Tilbury or Burton as you also suggest. But there is a cost. More cost!

APW wine

Hi errorman,
I find myself in the same situation that you found yourself in. Do you have any advice how to sell wine please? my email is : [email protected] Tel 07973391072

I had 1000 bottles of wine and sold mine through Biddle & Webb auctioneers in Birmingham. They run wine auctions every couple of months. Just about got my money back but not storage charges etc.

Thank you for the info', however I think it is too late. APW have gone into administration. They are opening a new scam for European wines. Tell anyone you know not to touch these people they are con men.

Oh no, how do you know? What about all the wines they sold to other people?

APW sent me a letter saying that a new company "Quantama" would be dealing with my wines as APW were concentrating on the European market. "Quantama" are a firm dealing with liquidation!

I dealt with James Baker at Biddle & Webb in Birmingham. If anyone needs help with their wines his email is [email protected], phone 0121 455 8042. He was really helpful.

Thank you for the information. When you sold your wine, did you sell them In bond or did you have to taken them out and pay the tax and duty before you could auction them?
