ASX 2012 high but pulled way back down again, HK also off todays highs.
Have a value of FTSE at 5807 to 5814 to ASX from FTSE close, currently at 5836.

The rally in the DOW was correcting the price difference between the DAX and FTSE after 5 weak days.

Goldman Sachs report today, which could move the DOW.

Just my reading of the market.
I posted the chart yesterday.
The rally in the DAX open yesterday forced the DOW to go higher yesterday.
Red DOW
Black DAX

hang on I got that all wrong!! Take no notice!! It was dow weakness and ftse strength - reported wrong way round

weak US dollar not giving much upside to FTSE

Lot of resistance at around 5830......

Carrying a Short from same level.......

At last Thursday close ftse stood at 5829 and dow 13388 and ftse had traded +66 strong against dow during the day (ie ftse was 66 higher than it should have been by reference to dow)

Just now ftse stood at 5829 (unchanged from Thursday) and dow at 13434 (+ 46 from Thursday). Thus ftse has traded -23 weak against dow since Thursday (ie: it should be standing at 5852 had it kept pace with dow).

ftse traded weak yesterday (-11) and overnight to date (-12) and has therefore been correcting the strength it showed against dow last week. Hasn't corrected it all but my pair's ok.
