How much do you have to pay for this 'opportunity'?

I was told on phone they pay a basic salary from day one and commission once senior dealers close etc..

No.. The guy on the phone said they mainly deal with SIPPs and equities.

I am avoiding all non regulated brokers and carbon credits/wine brokers

Yeah you want to stay well clear of any outfit flogging carbon credits, forestry investments and precious metals storage.
