Anyone have an Invite for @gmail account?

Does anyone have any invites please for a @gmail account.

Been trying to get one for a while now but there is nowhere on the internet for them.

So if anyone has any spare invites then by all means throw one my my please.

Would like to know what all the fuss is about with gmail.

I'm sure you just go to Google and select gmail up top, then register for an email account.
Not sure why you need an invite..........

Gmail no different in principle to hotmail or yahoomail - why not try them?

That's probably because you are a UK resident. I got a gmail.com invite, but it didn't help. Still got signed up for a googlemail.com account. The gmail.com address still works, though, so you can give it as your email address. But if you want a 'full' gmail.com account where the sender address in the smtp header is a gmail.com one, I think you have to leave the country. It's a legal thing between Google and somebody who snatched the gmail.com domain in the UK.

Thants what I thought it was, a country issue. Good explanation.
Its easier to type @gmail than @googlemail thats all.

Dont think I will move to america then.

try using a foreign proxy server and say you live in America, this might work.........

if you sign up for googlemail, you can still type gmail and the email will work. same service.
