Can any techies advise please?

I keep getting messages every time I read or send e mails asking me if I would like to "close the alcatel speedtouch connection" (I am on broadband.)

This has only been happening for the past fortnight. How can I tell the computer that "NO! I DON'T WANT TO CLOSE THE ALCATEL SPEEDTOUCH CONNECTION!" so that it listens to me?

Many thanks Techies.

Best wishes,
Sean

Have a look at your Outlook Express Settings.

There is an option to close the dial up connection after a send / receive. This should not be ticked.

This is because using USB the ADSL line simulates a dialup connection. Treat yourself to a proper ADSL Router presenting Ethernet...

I tried that and I find that the box is not ticked, so it can't be that.

Thanks for trying.
