Has anyone any experience of a US direct access broker called Aimdaytrader? (see http://www.aimdaytrader.com ).

The significance of them is that they offer direct access accounts without the pattern day trading minimum account requirement of $25,000. In fact they give 4:1 margin with a minimum account balance of only $500. Admittedly their rates aren't the most competitive at $12.95 + ECN fees, but the whole package is certainly a more accessible route into daytrading for those of us who don't ( yet ) have $25,000+ to furnish a trading account.

I should also mention that I emailed them to ask if they accepted UK based account holders and they replied " ... we are able to open accounts for all countries including the UK"

I am with AIM Day Trader, and I am thrilled. Their software is fast and the ability to daytrade with less than 25k is the real kicker. I could go for lower rates, but I guess thats the price you pay for trading unrestricted.

I would recommend them.
