Hi all, I have been working for 1 year as a business analyst since I have graduated from an Ivy League university, and I am looking to make a career transition to be a trader.

I would really appreciate your help in figuring out my best approach, and I would like your opinion on my chances. Here are some facts:

1. Chemistry major with 3.7 major GPA / 3.5 cumulative GPA
2. Taken multivariable, differential, physics, physical chem, but no finance courses
3. Been working as a business analyst in the IT industry for a year (proficient in database management)

My options seem to be to:
1. send my resume online / through friends at the firm
2. join in with the college seniors pool (i.e. go to career fairs and submit resume there)

I guess I should do both? Any better approach? Do I have even an OK chance at top firms?

Thanks!
