MultiCharts

MultiCharts

American Company using Russian developers and Russian support.

I've been using MC.net64 for a couple years now. i find the signal hangs up at definitive times. Claims to be an American company, but uses Russian developers and support. The support people want to remotly access your computer, Take log dumps which includes the PC information such as PC name and PC account name; screen shots, and lots of binary logs which only support can read. The price signal hangs up or gaps at definitive times during the trading day. FXCM interface is the old orders2go. i had to write my own FXCM interface using FXCM Forexconnect API, to get the latest changes considering Dodd/Frank legislation or FIFO rule on American accounts.
Very buggy.
multi charts

have been using multicharts with IB feed for approx 6 yr to mei t has every thing you need once used to it. only issue i have ever had was lagging charts. found out through multicharts forum that my pc was not powerfull enough. new pc and no other issues, bought when $ was low against pound for 600 pounds.
Pretty good

It's not bad, I have been using it for a while and have found it okay for my trading needs. It can be expensive to some, but if you want something that is close to Easy Language without going through TradeStation, then that's your best bet.

this is not free

check the website and nothing is free. i need a free stock chart tool where i can add my drawings and annotations. web based and that can go through firewalls
Is it free?

How come is a "Free Trading Platform...." if it is purchased?
Crap

Slow, buggy and limited piece of trash.
Useless for backtesting as there is no realistic multi-currency support available.
No Portfolio trading possible. Very slow data import. etc

You can't even be sure that the PL version will be supported/updated in near future as they have published an even more trashy C# version recently that is not compatible with other version. It seems they have no idea which road they want to go. They seem like rabbits running left and right without clear direction. Have I already mentioned that their software is overpriced junk? Yes? OK.
Excellent Functionality

The power of EasyLanguage with multiple data/broker options. Best Available. I automate in Multicharts, and have been happy with the stability and functionalities since day one. That was two years ago.

Now with CQG?!

I just was told that Multicharts is now available to use for CQG data... this is great. Anyone know the conditions or price? I like this platform, currently use NinjaTrader/CQG but want to also use Multicharts/CQG.
Multithreading, 64 bit, precision tick sequencing

As a programmer and developer of my own EasyLanguage tools, I long since committed to working exclusively with MultiCharts for my coding after becoming frustrated with the persistent limitations of TradeStation.
MultiCharts makes full use of my system hardware with features like MultiThreading, and the stability and speed of the latest 64 bit edition put MC miles ahead of the competition.
For me as a programmer, the precision tick sequencing functionality down to microsecond accuracy makes it possible to produce code calculations that can only be imagined in other platforms :)
The continual and ongoing implementation of user suggestions, and the genuine efforts to duplicate bugs and eliminate them quickly in my mind puts MultiCharts as a Gold Standard in support of their users and development of the platform.
For someone considering their options for a charting and execution or automation platform, look no further.

Great software with a lot of bugs

MC7 is a great platform with lot of useful features, and their tech support team is the best, and they can solve your problem through teamviewer, many traders praised their easylauguage for programing.

However, the manual order entries are very undependable, exit strategies don't work well, reload could not correct the wrong data on charts, sometimes, the PnL won't update per bid or ask price. Comparing to NT7, MC7 has a lot of great features, but very unreliable. If you want to trade manually, you'd better stay with NT till MC7 fixes all the bugs, and eventually, they do.
Rock solid

once you get the hang of it, can't go anywhere else. Powerful, reads EasyLanguage and overall just doesn't fail. Perfect for professional trading

These 10 MultiChart Reviews provide excellent functional and technical feedback to a trading newcomer like myself.
Best continues to get better

When I as a beginner should choose software for about two years ago. So the choice was not easy, made such a careful examination I could and chose MultiCharts. It was among the best choices I ever made.

It was easy to understand in even for a beginner. Support was among the best I've seen, but almost always answer is in the forum. The development of MultiCharts going at a furious pace. I was happy and just keeps getting happierwith each update that comes along. The latest, version 7, was a masterpiece. DOM was a missing piece of the puzzle now fell into place.

I do not want anything but MultiCharts!
Real Live Trading

Multicharts- the "Perfect" choice for me.

I switched to Multicharts a few years ago, when Tradestation no longer
supported their "off-Line" platform, it was "buggy" as well
and I needed a more modern "reliable" platform, that used my broker's
datafeed (IB). I am a Trader NOT a professional programmer, so I was looking
for a trading platform that wouldn't require learning yet another programming language.
Luckily, Multicharts supports Tradestaton's Easylanguage, so I didn't need to
learn another language and even better, my hundreds of Easylanguage studies are easily
imported into Multicharts ! To summerize- Free data from many brokers, EL
compatible, modern and Stable, with frequent "FREE" updates-upgrades and great customer service- Multicharts was the Perfect choice..
Version 7 is fantastic

Version 7 of the sotware is great, very stable and overall solid. What makes this software 10/10 is due to easy language and the ability to use tradestation code. Highly recommend.
MultiCharts - Does the business.

A long time user of metastock I am appreciating
the flexibility of easylanguage.

There is a wealth of information, help and
code on the forum.

The lifetime license = free upgrades. I
have lot better software now than what I originally paid for 12 months ago.

Bar magnifier and being able to access a
bid/ask series gives you realistic results in system testing.

Auto trade I love.

The free data from IB is good enough for
me.

Help file needs to be updated .

I have no hesitation in recommending Multicharts. Keep up the good work team.
Multicharts, great software to use

Since i purchase MC, I never regret it. Working with a new software and a new environnement could be sometime arsh and difficult. Not with Multicharts.

Just last week, I had a strange problem, that i was not able to resolve. After a chat session and them connecting to my system, they found the problem, an hidden charts was blocking certain function. No limit on support or time they spent with you on your own problem.

- Great support from their technical team

- Great support from the forum participant.
- Very verstile software. Let you choose your broker and or data proovider.
- Easy to program using Easylanguage

- Free update and system maintenance. ETC.

For sure it is not given, but not being left alone when introgation or problem arise as no price for me...... :)

solid and reliable product

Latest version offers trading tools to an already robust charting package. Multi data vendor and broker support was the deciding factor for me. As well, technical support is better than I have seen from other vendors.
good value

powerful and easy to use.

friendly and prompt technical support.

documentation needs to catch up.
