Thanks Hoggums. The coder seemed to be Russian, I ended up showing him one of my old EAs that ran with the £ sign and told him to take whatever code he needed from that. We got it to work. I will stick to Brits from now on though, it wasn't likely that £ signs couldn't work on EAs.
