I just do not understand why you let this trade run down to 100 pips loss why not cut your losses at say 50 pips after all ,let your profits run cut your loss early please explain why do you not do this ?

Hi Brendan can you please explain why you let this trade run to a 98 pip loss after you had placed the order ,it started to go the wrong way why not cut your losses at say 50 pips ? and re enter ?
