Hi Simon, is the charge you're referring to perhaps the 'Bet Financing Cost' (as CMC describe it)? This amounted to €0.71/day for this particular trade. But this is different to the 'Price Adjustment' charge I got hit with on various days. Please see attachment.....thanks.

As a very new financial spread bettor with CMC Markets, I was surpised to see that dividends even apply to these types of derivatives. I'd heard they did with CFDs alright but not spread betting. Anyway, I had a short on the Dow at €1/pt. Position went against me and I got stopped out a week...

I've only ever used spreadbetting & CFDs to trade but since I've started getting more interested in US small caps, I've found that IG Index and CMC don't list a lot of them, which is frustrating. I suppose this means I'll have to go through regular stockbrokers now if I want to do small caps...

and if you think the media & markets go nuts everytime Greece "spooks the horses", imagine how they'll be when Spain & Italy follow. And I really do think it's only a matter of time. An Italian friend of mine told me you only receive dole money for 2 years if you lose your job. And that's it...
