Best Thread How To Make Money Trading The Markets.

I'm not giving advice in my post. The OP asked if there was margin on US stocks like there is on Forex. That's all I explained. There is a minimum of 25k for direct access traders to DAYTRADE US Equities. So in my opinion you need 30k, to give yourself a 5k buffer. Of course you can use CFD's...

Hello Nooney7, on US equities you also get margin. There's a minimum of $25k to be able to daytrade, because of the Pattern DayTrade Rule. But you get 4:1 leverage on a Reg-T Margin account. In my opinion you need at least $30k to trade US equities. -Dave

Haha. Like I said. I'm not trying to plug Richard. I do know him. And I know he's for real. I don't make money off of him selling courses. I just don't like you painting him off as a snake-oil salesman. Of course his methods work at times, and at other times they don't work. That's where risk...

The fact that you lost money trading Richard's method, says more about you as a trader, than it does about his methods. You come here, with 3 posts to your name, joining this month, so you don't have a lot of credibility. I've been a full time daytrader for 5 years now. I also trade the setups...

    Trading software US stocks

Adding liquidity vs. taking liquidity depends on your strategy. If I would try to add liquidity I wouldn't make a dime. If your profit target is 10 - 20 cents then it would seriously reduce your profits if you pay the spread every time. But when the target is 1 buck and up, then I couldn't care...

    Trading software US stocks

Hey BTippen, reading it back it sounds a little harsh what I wrote. I'm sorry for that. I was just explaining, that Peter doesn't have problems with IB, but that eSignal is the problem and that's because of his ISP. I'm not trying to say that IB is the best broker. I think everyone has their...

That's because his charts are lagging. Interactive Brokers is just fine! It's not about the Level II in eSignal, It's about the charts. As I explained to peter on the phone, the real problem with eSignal has nothing to do with eSignal itself. It's the internet connection. And it has to do with...

    Evening trading US shares

Today, I had one of best days ever. Not my P&L but dollars per share! I had a HUGE trade on POT. I shorted 202.92 average. And as soon as we went through 202, big sellers came in. It started off with someone offering 14k at 201.70, the thing didn't look back anymore. One straight sell off down...

It's all in the Level II. Compare the Level II screenshot of AMGN and look at the Level II of AMGN this afternoon when the market is open. Look at AMGN when it's not really moving and then try to find the big difference. -Dave

Well, what is it that you don't understand? You asked was there any other reason mr. charts closed that trade except the Level II or T&S. I answered, NO! The only reason he closed that trade was because of Level II. Because when you look at the chart, it doesn't show a reason to get out! -Dave
