bracke - I meant how much money you have to put down to take a position in the market - e.g. £240 for £4 a point on FTSE - so £60 a point on FTSE - do you know any other broker offering such low notional risk?

bracke - Thanks. Yes, but also worth considreing other factors as well like what notional risk the broker needs to take up positions in the market. SpreadEx has one of the best value for money here, I think.

A320 - That's a good & simple explanation of market swing definition - went recently to a seminar on short term trading and the guy kept on talking for 30 minutes on market swing and trends and must say most of us felt it was very complicated and only for the professionals to understand...
Have been using SpreadEx as my main financial broker for several years now and must say despite all the marketing hype from other big players I see no reasons for moving my trades to other brokers as the service and the people who take my trades are EXCELLENT!!! Any views?
Any views on the recent pull backs in the markets? Is it a start of real pull back (so time to go short) or an opportunity to buy on dips - it was so easy from last March 2003 to Feb 2004!!!
