Any ideas on best device for handhelds to monitor charts.

I only ever use £10-20 mobile phones mainly because I keep losing them (5 so far this year ftw!) but do want something that will allow me to monitor Metatrader if out and about.

I wouldn't place trades over it but just want to keep tabs on price... I just wouldn't take it with me to the pub as I will lose it!

I have an XDAII but may as well carry around a laptop so want something bit more up to date! No need for any other gimmicks unless little option....

No idea if N96 or iphone even support metatrader....

Anyone help?

i just isntalled ig index software on my phone so now i can check my posistions in bed! mwwahaa

lol... XDA only one I know fully supports MT4 though... not that I'm picky, but...

bump...

Ideally windows mobile as will support virtually anything microsoft will, esp MT4. Prices are fine but really want charts for context...

Off to go look into your suggestions now cheers...

Wasp,
Does it have to be Metatrader?
I use a 2g iphone and a vodaphone 15 pound a month contract which gives me unlimited internet access. This I use to run my I.G Index software which is specifically designed for the iphone.
If its just prices and a simple chart you need this is the cheapest option I have come across.

no, true, doesn't have to be metatrader... as long as charts available, not just tape....

I think IG run on most mobiles too so would mean options endless....

Now just need to find one I can attach to myself so I don't lose the damn thing!

dongle

Avoid the mini laptop, plug in dongle, mobile broadband buzz, it is total waste of money, its dial up in reality.

I had CMC markets on there mobile facility, just to monitor, pretty good.

I've got a HTC Touch HD. OS is Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro and it has a 3.8 inch screen. I've used metatrader on it to monitor things whilst out and about and not had any problems. I think it's still only available on Orange in the UK though.
