USA Forum

My last post on this thread.
'merica has done some pretty dumb sh1t in the past. However after 8 years of an intelligent thoughtful president we live in a world where US soldiers have been released almost immediately after straying into Iranian waters. Under Bush those men/women would be beaten, tortured, killed and paraded in front of the worlds press.
Obama is also trying to reestablish links to Cuba and undo all the bad work of previous presidents. He talks of Americas standing on the world stage.
I believe as a nation America is still a petulant child who lashes out when it doesnt get its own way, but if more people like Obama have some say, then it could mature into a respectable adult.
Your choice America. :clover:

:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Talk about overpaying a talking head. :whistling

I do not know the answer nor do I care. As for the $600 billion, it is a drop in the pan. It is 3.4% of GDP.

How does this have anything to do with being the most powerful and richest country on the planet?

The USA being the biggest economy does set the agenda and it is downhill most of the way these days. A pity the politicians are always having to look over their shoulders to see what the cretinous electorate think they want.

Oh well debating these issues does seem to pass the time. I don't suppose anything will change for the better.

As for the part about living off of other peoples money it is because no one wants to put their money anywhere else. America has basically been the world bank for a while now. It is not called Fort Knox, UK.

Oh well. I can see why someone in your position would be upset feeling they have no power. The only thing I see on the way out is socialism.

The dude with the spiky blonde hair is Australian.

Yes I have left the country before. I have been across the pond and all over the Caribbean.

When is the last time you were in California?

Congratulations on your visit to one of the most disgusting cities in the state.

As far as vacations go with in California I don't think I would choose those cities I like places that aren't so populated like Tahoe. Hawai'i is great too. You do not have clear customs or worry about drinking the water like in Central America. Never ever visit Acapulco. Blehhh.

I would seriously recommend going to the Cayman Islands, especially for financial reasons. They are less of a tourist trap than the British Virgin Islands or the Bahamas.

One of my neighbors has family in Australia. I was invited to go once but I'm didn't want to sit on the long a$& plane flight.

I could ogle the bogan Sheilas.

Possibly named after a small coastal village in Wales.

As for the part about living off of other peoples money it is because no one wants to put their money anywhere else. America has basically been the world bank for a while now. It is not called Fort Knox, UK.

Last I heard there was nothing in Fort Knox. Ron Paul and others have been trying to get the place audited for years. Oh, and the Germans wanted their gold back in 2012, but for some reason, were palmed off with excuses !

Very suspicious goings-on imho.
Either the politicians have pocketed it or if it is still there why hasn't it been audited since 1954 ?

I see on Pawn Stars gold coins prior to 1934, when FDR nationalised all American gold, do appear often. They may be illegal as they obviously were not handed in and melted down. The American people should demand to see it and make sure to weigh some random bars. Can't trust politicians . Loads of crooks in high places conning Joe Mug with their lies and BS.

I would imagine that to be incorrect. Part of my family was from Newport Pagnell. They emigrated from Buckinghamshire in the 1700s. They migrated to a town with the same name in the US. However, this town is no longer called by that name. I believe that all the cities in the US with this namesake get their name from said city. There used to be a place in the same state which bore our family name.
