Lost again today Ken although Consular, in 3rd place, would have been an ok EW bet.

I will continue to follow you daily because 2 races is no basis for making any conclusions.

Hi Salty,

You are spot on by saying that 2 days one should not judge a person on hes/hers
tipping ability, i've been in this game for just over 40 years.

Thanks for your understanding in this, much appreciated.

Starting Bank = $1000-00 pounds ( sorry for the dollar symbol, im not good with pc's )

Stakes are based at $50-00 pounds on each selection. level stakes at all times.

Day 1 - lost = $50-00 pounds ( 1 N R )

Day 2 - lost = $100-00 pounds

Bank Balance = $850-00 pounds

P.S. I won't take the previous winners profit into play ( not fair )

Regards
Ken

If I had lost 15% of my trading account in my first 2 days though, I would be a very worried guy.

Trading and Horse Racing are 2 different worlds.

You just can't compare the 2.

Its long term that matters, not over night, unless its a lottery win over night.

Ken

Advices for tomorrow the - 18-06-05,

These are my personal selections that i will be backing ( 18-06-05 )

THROUGH THE EYES OF THE JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAPPERS.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4-55 R Ascot at - YORK

No. 2. BLUE MONDAY - win bet
No. 3. NOTABLE GUEST - win bet

I might have a further bet tomorrow.

Regards
Ken

Ken as you know I am no racing man ,
BUT wound it not be better to place the bets £25 each way instead of to win ?
cos there can only be 1 winner and the second choice may come second or third ?

FINAL UPDATE - Further Bet.

Apart from my other 2 bets, i have a further 2 bets in which i will be backing.

4-20 R Ascot at - YORK

No. 8. IFFRAAJ - win bet
No. 9. SOLDIERS TALE - win bet

Cheers
Ken

P.S. If any winners, profit/s will be based on s p.

Hi H,

Good to hear from you.

As you have suggested backing e/w, i appreciate your input and thank you to,
but i've always am a win on the nose so to speak, so as much as i welcome
your suggestion which makes sense, i will stick to what i have always done.

Take care and see you around, wish me luck, i need it lol.

Cheers
Ken

No. 8. IFFRAAJ - win bet

WINNER

Nice one Ken

SP 9/4 but could have got early odds with Sporting Odds at 7/2.

:cheesy:

NOTABLE GUEST also came in at 4/1.

Great day Ken.

Well done indeed.

Hi Ken
You had a winner on Saturday, well done
you had an imagery pot of £1000 you have had winners and losers ,and I cannot work out what you have won and lost , so as a matter of interest how do we stand now ,
not that it matters of course, cos I have not had chance to put a bet on yet
and its only a bit of fun
as always just interested
kind regards
H

I think he's had 2 winners and 3 losers now and I reckon his pot should stand at £ 1162.50 from a starting point of £ 1,000.

Please correct me if I am wrong Ken.

Salty
Its a bit like shares
as long as you have more winners then losers
that all that matters
I do hope its not putting Ken under to much pressure
but if everyone just looks at it as as it bit of fun, then it will be ok
regards
H

edit Salty I hope your including the betting tax? ) :-

I think that pure gambling ( betting on horses ) is totally different than calculated risk taking ( stock trading done properly ).

If I get behind on trading I am always confident of recovery but with horse racing I would never be confident of recovery.

Maybe I just don't know enough about horses and that is where I hope Ken will come in.

As I mentioned previously I have tried for yonks now to come up with a winning horse betting system and I have failed miserably.

Bank Balance update.

Saturdays selections = 3

One was a N R

Winners were - IFFRAAJ @ 9-4 ( could have made it at 7-2, but as i have been
working profit/loss at s p, thats the way it will
remain )
Personally i was on at 7-2

2nd winner was - NOTABLE GUEST @ 4-1 ( once again could have had 11-2, i was
on at 11-2 )

Previous Bank Balance = £850-00

Present Bank Balance to date = £1112-50

P.S. Saturdays profit of P O I = 175%

P.S. Next update could be on the 25-06-05 - group one courses on that date are
Chester and Newmarket.

I don't do evening meetings from group
one courses, its another one of my
golden rules.

See you around - will pop in now and again.

Regards
Ken

Racing - just having good fun.

Hi H,

I totally agree with you about having a bit of fun.

I used to treat it as profit making in the past, and im being truthful in what im saying
now, i have made a nice profit over the years.
But when my health problems came along, i stopped the serious part and started
the fun side to it. ( Doctors advice )

I don't wish to bore you with my health, so to give you an idea of whats my health like,
here is the amount of tablets i have to take a day for the rest of my life = 26 tablets
a day, its no joke guys.
So i have to avoid stress at all cost and not to mention other things.

You take care.

I'll pop in now and again.

Regards
Ken
