Any reasons why one might be better than the other, as their movement seems to follow pretty similar patterns. Any advice from the experiences pros shall be highly appreciated.

Spot Gold has a roll over charge. If you hold it overnight you will have to pay a certain %. Futures will have a wider spread probably, but you don't have to pay the charge.

If you are a daytrader opt for spot. If you're a swing trader opt for futures.

Hope this helps,

Phil.

[Correct me if I'm wrong!]
