City financials have been in work today since 10 this morning my mate said! Everyone is waiting for the 7-8 period tomorrow. Currently Lehmans is stuffed. No Chapter 7 or 11 will be allowed and the USG are not stepping in as they have said it's an industry problem. Unless a big state / soverign wealth fund steps in then it could be a very black day tomorrow.
AIG may sell all their assets tomorrow too. Morgan also looking like they are on thin ice, although they may already have a buyer/ funds available.
Looks like my ISA may be in for a battering tomorrow. Just hope the Gilts hedge works out??!!

Not many people here think further ahead than the next few minutes spurs. Those that do though are predicting a sharp fall. There is always the threat of a rate cut if things get out of hand though so whatever you do play it safe

Yes someone is prepared to defend 99.00 very aggressively. Bids upward of 700 contracts has been sitting there for ages and it doesn't look like a spoof but we'll soon find out.

No they were real but the market just went right through them.

784 resistance level on Gold seems a bit stubborn!

I may be the new 1pipped?! Even half pipped, as my short on FTSE stopped out last night by 0.5 pip! I placed it what I thought was a good sniff above the fib level. From my stop it has since descended south a further 100 odd pips! Must have been a short rally covering the longs after the gap.

My guess would be that due to every man and his dog looking for a bounce at 9800-10000(US Light), it will get pushed through further to take out these longs, don't ask me where it will stop though. Round number, 9500 for a rest to watch a bouncing cat?
