No but if you are daft enough to do it and someone then logs in with that user name and posts porn or other material that is not permitted then that user name gets banned.

What WHY??....Agree with Paul on what he says....!

...And after starting this thread on HOW to improve this site.....What has followed is 'DelhiBelly' watery dribble...!

....One should not blame the site if there is no ability amongst intelligent people to come up with proper suggestions...!...It has been cheap mocking mostly..!
 
It's a simple question. Where has this new rule come from and what is the rationale for it?

And it shouldn't be down to content editors to have to defend this, it should be whoever banned him in the first place.
 
Here is a simple definition of word - PASSWORD......

A password is a secret word or string of characters that is used for authentication, to prove identity or gain access to a resource (example: an access code is a type of password). The password must be kept secret from those not allowed access.

imho,

he was banned as his actions resulted in porn pics been posted on the site, My 4 year old nearly saw those images so quite frankly I don't see any reason to defend him and if there was any way of knowing for sure who posted the images (if not him) then they should be banned as well.

Dave your probably doing it for lulz as I doubt your really on a let him back in campaign.

The real question is why are SOME banned members reinstated, and others not

The sites previous community manager was happy to reinstate a member after they posted images of a pornograpic nature, and that indicates to me that this issue isnt as cut and dried as you are implying.

Precedants have been set, banned members are regularly reinstated, and in at least one case, after posting "offensive materials" in clear violation of rule 2.

Obviously I'm in violation of Rule 11 for even asking the question, and according to rule 11, you are now obliged to delete this whole thread !
 
....The images posted on the thread were of vile nature and many traders here look at the daily happenings on the site normally in evenings and when family members are around or children.....I am one of them.....

...For that vile and pornographic posting that person should be 'erased' for life from this site.....

...Simple as that...!
