If you are deriving your sole INCOME from trading then in the eyes of the tax man that is your job/income so is liable for income tax but not CGT so therefore you couldn't claim as you have a source of income.
Incorrect. Spread betting is tax free as covered by the gaming law. Unless you are classified as a professional gambler, which the IR are weary of doing at all, then it is is all tax free.
 
A millionaire should not be claiming the dole. If you have more than £16k you are not allowed to claim JSA. If you haven't got £16k can you really afford to be trading?
