so close to BoE I'll take scratch or run

Well got my fisrt slipage busted through my stop for -£0.97. Should of stopped my out for +£0.20

jumped in for a reversal but spiked me out
1.55698 stop 1.55896 -£1.98

Not a good start lol

Taking a step back. recharting and double checking

I Knew I should stay out of news. No rate changed expected a drop in GBP/USD ?

That would required larger stops which would put me above my 3% rule

Position trades don't have to risk more than 3%, 1%-2% is fine if your location is good. Good location usually means selling a retracement in a downtrend or selling a wash out of the shorts (to go short yourself).

Many traders trade longer term and still keep risk small.

Just an idea. Good luck

I realise you are trading on lower timeframes but you appear to be all over the place and rushing...calm down. Why did you jump into Rio ?

erm...surely if you've taken a 10% hit on any given day (irrespective of the incy bit of cash in play) you'd call it a day? Just a thought...for me it's 5% on the short term TF day trading I do...for swinging/position-ing it's different, obviously...

Rio has been good to me in my trading can be easy to track.

I have some stocks on price trigger alert

As I was down ££ and it showed to reverse I scalped £1.01

Yeah, could you highlight your reasons for entering the trades? just to understand your decision making process.

I quite like your premise of starting with a low account and trying to build it up, should be interesting.
