Is capatalism failing?

then let's invade the falklands, see if the argies come to the rescue... if they do they'll look very silly, won't they1

Re: Is capitalism failing?

Do us a favour bud, correct the spelling in the thread title would ya?...

Anyhow we've touched on this subject before and a few points just to move the thread along;

IMHO capitalism has failed, how can fractional reserve banking, creating an exponential fiat money supply, underpinned by no intrinsic physical value, not eventualy fail?

As we've discussed on 'ere before the global money supply has to have a re-set button, even the usual re-set hyper space button of war (sponsored by the Rothschilds) won't *work* this time...War to secure fossil fuels, which constantly increase in price exponentially due to the cost of extraction, is the road to capitalist hell...

I'm being simplistic here, but IMO we've reached a perfect capitalist storm, a series of event horizons; peak oil, end of dollar domination (end of US empire building/crusades), new nuclear powers inevitably emerging (sponsored by Russia to invert the power play)...

IMO developed countries have to consider previous anathema economic concepts, for example, zero percent economic growth as a goal...?

exactly, gold's a piece of ****ing ****.

You want gold...? Stir outrights are great atm, apart from euroswiss where **** knows what's going on. But the rest are pretty darn easy, even if you do end up churning. And in Short Sterling the algos you have to deal with are minimal, no more Czech *****.

he is right Gold is king or any assets beside paper money , fiat money is cr** , i am not a goldbug but i am not a fiat money id**t either ...

IMO, Asia is in a wave two down on cycle scale and western nations as a whole are on a wave 2 down on a supercycle scale. Derive from that what you want.......

I hold out a small belief... I'd say around 3%... that we could move towards libertarianism in this country. I'd have put that at well under 0.1% before this coalition...

Oh, you mean a world totally dominated by corporate power where ordinary people whose only real power is to democratically elect a government that might act in their interest (which strangely enough does not always correspond to corporate interests) has been reduced to an irrelevancy because government has been so emaciated in the name of "liberty"?

Yes I can see why support for that political ideology might be just 0.1%. Hey it might even gain a percentage point under the Tories.

Capitalism has already failed, it failed the day the decision was made to bail out the banks and there will be big repurcussions worldwide because of this.

Capitalism was a theory on how to do things that failed because the powers that be let it fail, if the banks had been allow to crash and burn then Capitalism would still be intact... now there is no theory on how to do things as we interfered with the model and made it exctinct.

But the way i see it is that Capitalism may just survive if the banks that were meant to fail still do fail even if this takes some time to happen, if all the money that they throw at this huge problem does not work then Capitalism is still in effect.

On that note i will leave you with a quote....

"It is perfectly obvious that the whole world is going to hell. The only possible chance that it might not is that we do not attempt to prevent it from doing so."

J. Robert Oppenheimer

An emaciated government would be a welcome change in the UK - we have become very used to a hugely bloated one fed through extortion from the productive members of society. It uses the proceeds to fund an enormous client state which keeps it perpetually in power (until the economic cosequences of its ruinous socialism cause collapse a la Greece). The UK is about (I think) 3 years behind Greece.

You didn't mean an "emasculated" government did you? That too would be welcome - our government's appetite for tyranny nearly matches its enthusiasm for social Marxism and its deranged economic mismanagement.

In reply to the original question, no. Capitalism is like Van Halen, kickin' a$$, right now but sadly not right here, and probably not in America for much longer.

Libertarianism: The final resting place for cold war warriors, bypassed by history with nowhere else to go.

Are you talking about me? I'm not a libertarian. I don't find labels to be of much use except for the purposes of lazy abuse and as a substitute for proper thought, although if I had to slap one on myself I'd probably use "conservative".

Regardless, I am not sure how you would deduce Libertarianism from what I wrote. A desire to avoid national bankruptcy brought about through disastrous socialist policies does not equate with Libertarianism.

By the way, did you mean emaciated or emasculated?

we should really invade france for old times sake, then march on berlin again..make sure they know we haven't forgotten

LOL.

Rothschild really should mind his manners a little more.

If I may, can I ask you to save a little of your bail-out fund and not give it all to the Greeks? I don't know if you are aware of the state that Britain is in, but I have a feeling that, were we to march on Berlin again, we would have have to get a loan from Germany to buy boots.:LOL::LOL:

Thing is we had to go give the Greeks some money so they could invest a bit in education to get their sex habits properly modernised.

Lol I was on the train the other day reading some trashy newspaper and a bordello in Cologne has a reopening and is offering a free fathers day half hour with the lady of your choice lol.
