FTSE 100 January

morning

barjon
interesting ?
that's what I would call an english euphemism !
more like a pigs breakfast ?

going great guns and then the Fed left me scampering
for cover. There is always the unexpected !

but nihil desperandum , don't think it should change the major
trend. Nor by the way, I suspect, will the first rate increase.

How's that for sticking my neck out ?

with 15/18 available, some might say the upside is a low risk opportunity ?

depends on your system.

my pivot support levels are 407, 394,372 for today.

Yup i see $ got back some over night

FTSE250 not falling with FTSE100.

thast what I like to hear Mully, supports my divergances on my 10 min chart etc

FTSE

Judging by this trendlines we've got support @ 4400/4410.
Same level is also my 61.8 Fib line.
Change of trend with a close below this level?
Still bullish above 4400.
What do you guys think?

just gone back to look at some old posts.
found this one -15th No 71992
----------------------------------------------------
the fib at 4446 looks important
maybe trying to form a base ?
but the action looks corrective and weak.

next fib down is 4424 and that would leave 4400 as a
tidy and pretty place to complete a consolidation.

------------------------------------------------------------------

I suspect we were always coming back to this level but the
over eager bull got in too soon and gave us false hope ?

bounced off yesterdays bottom trendline..now if we can make a higher lower we could be good to go. Some data out in a min
I think

IMO, FTSE is going back to test the December bullish breakout. Look to the left at the broad ceiling created around 4400 during NOvember. Is this the case of resistance turning into support.

if we can first break 21 and then the open high this could be a good move...but it' gonna be tough

mornin' all

mmm, you may be right but with my trend change signal my rules
have me switching position sizes - only do half positions against
the trend - until the dust clears (shares not ftse).

It's all a bit in out, in out, shake it all about at the moment. I'm
reminded of something Data (the android in Star Trek) said the
other evening:

"It is strange how humans seek always to find a recognisable
pattern in essentially random events" and I thought he was from
the Luke Skywalker school of spacemen, not Randomwalker!!!

Good trading.

"or make sense of random opinions of market commentators" !

hmm
if you also thought this was a low risk opportunity, you
will know where your stop is !

if not yet long it may be worth waiting for us to clear the gap open.

FTSE250 leading the way
